This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing existing customers towards achieving the business targets and objectives for local market.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sales projects in the region of local market
- Conduct market research and feasibility studies to analyse the viability of alternative business development opportunities
- Ability to execute projects, adapts precedent and may make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions
- Proven sales methods and support tools to achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully converting leads into clients
- Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers, assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
- Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationship with customers and business/channel partners to promote brand awareness and profitable business relationships, enhance customer satisfaction and customer retention
- Compliance to the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) policies and programs to ensure safety programs, policies, requirements, analysis, reports and plans meet applicable safety standards and local and international laws
- Perform OHSE inspections and audits, and provide safety orientation and induction courses and other training
- Discuss with Country Sales Manager on weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met
- Perform duties as assigned by Company from time to time
Skill Competencies and Requirements:
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant sales or business development experience; preferably in structural steel building or construction industry
- Strong in Sales Professional, Sales Process and thorough understand of local markets;
- Strong networking in construction industry
- Strong technical knowledge on safety, environmental and quality requirements
- Prior experience at representing an organization and solid presentation
- Effective communication, selling and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated attitude and customer service orientation
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
- Must posses own vehicle
