‘Pre-engineered Buildings’ are ‘Readymade’ and can only be Used in Some Building Applications
This is a MYTH. While these steel buildings are called ‘pre-engineered’, they are actually ‘custom engineered’ and specially designed according to the buyer’s specifications. Hence it can be used in an unlimited range of building applications.
‘Pre-engineered’ refers to the various systems and components that have been carefully designed such that highly controlled construction of the building takes place. This means all parts and components are pre-cut, pre-drilled and pre-welded and is ready for assembly in a time much shorter than it would take to construct a conventional building. It is fast and fuss-free.
Not to mention, the reduction in scrap material at site will improve your green building score amongst other eco-friendly attributes such as the use of steel which is a sustainable and recyclable alternative, and the possibility for a building to be dismantled, moved and re-assembled.
