You have probably heard enough of others preaching the benefits of a pre-engineered steel building. Lightweight, fast erection time, easy to construct, clear spans, flexibility of expansion, no waste during construction, low maintenance… … and the list goes on.

After you are convinced, you enter a maze of finding the right pre-engineered building provider. Every provider claims they have quality. So, what does the one-word-fits-all term ‘quality’ mean? How will ‘quality’ ensure you enjoy the value of a pre-engineered building?

Shera’s newly erected facility is a case in point. The new facility is an extension of an existing pre-engineered steel building. To develop this extension, Nova Buildings worked closely with the project consultants to design connections between the existing and the new building. A highly advanced detailing software, Tekla, was used to ensure ‘zero error’ in the bracket connection levels indicated by Nova Buildings.

“This is a crucial point – any error in the bracket levels would have led to a misfit of the new structure with the existing structure, and result in massive rectifications on site”, said Mr Jalaj Sharma, Engineering Director of Nova Buildings.

In addition, the factory fabrication schedule was adjusted to allow actual site welding levels of the brackets to be cross-verified between site and factory during the simultaneous fabrication and erection process. A 100% factory-controlled manufacturing condition is amplified in this instance.

‘Quality’ is an overused term. Ultra precision in project delivery is what we really mean. A ‘zero error’ engineering design coupled with an ultra-precise factory production ensure your pre-engineered steel building fits seamlessly, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits a pre-engineered building can provide.
