The Project/Site Engineer is accountable for safe, high quality and efficient installation of the NOVA solution, according to the agreed / contracted scope, schedule and budget. He/she ensures proper planning of site activities and preparation of site readiness, oversees installation activities, manages and supports the installation team, verifies the installation deliverables and ensures readiness for customer and maintenance handovers. He/she acts as the NOVA interface to the customer at the installation site and to other parties throughout the installation process. He/she supports the sales team and the technical sales support team in pre-tender, tender and order activities when needed / requested.
Responsibilities:
- Point of contact to customer for each assigned project
- Responsible for all design and supply projects are carried out in accordance to project specification, meet the contract schedule and within the sales budget at customer satisfaction
- Responsible for setting up the site implementation to ensure compliance to the Company’s safety, quality and environmental standards
- Manage the filing system for all kind of documentation preparation of relevant documentation related to projects
- Perform initiate negotiation with subcontractor/supplier and able to confirm the quantity take-off from the drawings and presented in clear and precise manner
- Compliance to the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) policies and programs to ensure safety programs, policies, requirements, analysis, reports and plans meet applicable safety standards and local and international laws
- Monitor progress and performance against the project plan, take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
- Implement on-site safety and responsible for works installation and manage subcontractors for project execution in accordance to construction safety standards
- Perform quality control on the delivery of materials and report any material delivery at site if found non-compliance
- Perform OHSE inspections and audits, and provide safety orientation and induction courses and other training
Skill Competencies and Requirements:
- Bachelors/ Master’s Degree in Civil Engineer, Quantity Surveying (QS) or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as project engineer, site supervisor in structural steel buildings or construction industry
- Knowledge in structural steel works
- Knowledge and skillset in Quality Control Management
- Possess strong site supervision and project management experience
- Excellent knowledge in Project Management and Process Safety Standards
- Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team
- Proactive and Self-motivated, responsible, and strong integrity and good interpersonal skill
- Able to work under pressure and deal with ambiguity
- Good command of spoken & written English
