Commercial Finance Manager


1.   Cost control (factory and project) 

  • Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity of the Vietnam operation such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour. Analysing data collected and recording results
  • Analyse changes in product design, raw materials procurement, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost 
  • Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures
  • Perform and support Price Cost Analysis (PCAs). Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
  • Maintain cost accounting system
  • Factory Standard Costing 
  • Conduct physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
  • Reconcile finished goods inventories
  • Record actual job costs based on material supplier invoices, labour reports, service provider invoices and general expenses. 
  • Identify, pursue and correct incorrect project costs and perform cost transfers as necessary

2. Treasury and Banking

  • Banking relationship
  • Cash Flow Forecasting and Analysis

3. Management reporting

  • Assist in month end close of the general ledger
  • Prepare project performance reports (impacting profitability) and audits of costs 
  • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
  • Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Variance Analysis

4. Tax & Legal Compliance 

  • Assist in all legal governance and compliance requirements
  • Work in a team environment to discuss relevant issues with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and creating better solutions 
  • Provide financial support to other functional areas of the company

5. ERP System Compliance

  • Establish and maintain customer projects in the accounting system incl. project estimates, contracts, change orders using information from the sales team (Purchase orders, sales orders, quotes)

Skill Competencies and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, or Accounting degree preferred, CPA is desirable)
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP ERP (preferred), or a similar ERP system
  • Advanced in MS, office and excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Formulas)
  • Strong communication and organization skills, able to work well independently
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Corporate Accounting/General Ledger experience
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • An independent problem solver, self-motivated with team spirit, high energy level with strong analytical thinking
